CHINA SHORES QUICK START GUIDE
Konami released China Shores back on 15th April 2015. It is a 5 x 3 reel slot game with 30 pay lines, an RTP of 96.1%, and features like wild and scatter symbols. The variance level is unknown at present.
REEL SYMBOLS
Despite its title, you will not see the beach here. Instead, the game represents the serenity of the Chinese jungle, and you will be spinning symbols of the panda and other symbols of luck and prosperity.
The high-value symbols are:
- Panda
- Ying and Yang
- Chinese letter
- Golden Turtle
- Tea pot
- Lantern
The panda, as you know, is an endangered species. The rest of the symbols represent common objects found in East Asian belief systems and culture.
The wild in the game is the panda, and the scatter symbol is the Yin and Yang. There are six low-value symbols that pay between 5x and 150x your bet per line.

All these numbers are multipliers that are applied to your bet per line. They do not change regardless of your bet size, but they sure have an impact to your prizes.
The coin denominations you can choose from are between $0.01 and $0.50. After selecting the value of each coin, you have to decide how many coins you are willing to risk per line. You can choose between one and five coins.
To win, you need at least three same symbols on any of the 30 pay lines. The exception is the Chinese letter, which pays for two symbols.
The symbols must be on adjacent reels, and must start from the leftmost reel. The 30 pay lines are fixed, and you cannot decrease or choose the number of active paylines on the grid.
All wins are multiplied by your coin size and the number of coins you wagered for each line.
BONUS GAMES & FEATURES
The slot has two main features. These are the wild and the scatter.
- Wild – substitutes for all symbols. The wild only appears on reels 2 to 5, and it has no payout of its own.
- Scatter – landing at least two of the scatter would grant you a prize, which is multiplier applied to your total bet for that round. The prizes of the scatter are:
- 5x – 100
- 4x – 20
- 3x – 5
- 2x – 2
- Free Spins – the scatter symbol also pays out free games. You have to land at least three to win 8 free games. You will win 10 free spins for four scatter symbols, and 15 for five. You can re-trigger the free spin within the free spins bonus round.
All wins during the free games are doubled.
- Stacked Reels – before you spin the reel, the slot would randomly choose a symbol, which it will stack. The stacking action is random, but it does pay out a lot of coins if it happens. During one of our spins, we got reels 2 and 3 stacked with the teapot, and we won 9,725 coins at a bet of $0.01 and five coins per line.
The stacking action does not include the wild, but it can stack the scatter symbol.
